This guide provides a detailed explanation of the Church Impact Dashboard, including instructions on how to navigate its features effectively.
Table of Contents:
Home Tab
Organization Lifetime Impact
This section shows the financial turnaround of FPU members associated with the organization. This information is self-reported by FPU members from within the FPU member experience at https://www.fpu.com/member. Both self-paced members’ and class members’ financial turnaround are displayed.
IMPORTANT: Only when FPU members are reporting their financial turnaround in the member experience will any numbers show in Organization Lifetime Impact, so it’s extremely important for church leadership to encourage members to use that experience.
Memberships Remaining
This provides a running count of memberships remaining from the amount purchased. The expiration date in the bottom right corner lists the last day that memberships can be distributed (one year from the date they were originally added to the account).
My Active Classes
This section shows all classes currently running for the organization. Administrators can click on an individual class for more information.
Creating a Class
This will only be visible on the home screen until the first class is created. See Creating a Class for more information.
My Classes Tab
Creating a Class
Clicking on ‘Create a Class’ will walk the administrator through the same class creation flow as the coordinator sees.
IMPORTANT: Since classes created within the Church Impact Dashboard are pre-paid classes, please encourage administrators to set these classes as private with pricing turned off.
The administrator will initially be listed as the default Coordinator until a new Coordinator is selected. See Changing a Coordinator for more information.
From within the newly created class, the administrator can add the class roster by clicking on ‘Add Member’. This will allow them to add members one-by-one or in batch.
IMPORTANT: Adding members to a class will deduct a membership from the organization and automatically register him/her for the class.
Changing a Coordinator
To change the coordinator for a class, the administrator will click on ‘Edit Coordinator,’ enter the coordinator’s email, and click on ‘Invite Coordinator.’
If the coordinator already has an email registered with Ramsey, he/she will automatically show up and have the coordinator role applied.
If the coordinator doesn’t already have an email registered with Ramsey, he/she will be sent an invite to set up his/her account. This gives the coordinator a 5-day window to complete the registration process.
Until the Coordinator has accepted and completed the registration, the name of the coordinator on UCP/Class-finder will show as “Coordinator Pending.”
Send Memberships Tab
This page is intended to distribute memberships so members can take advantage of FPU outside of the context of a class. Common use cases are churches offering FPU as an enrichment benefit for their congregation and/or outreach. These members typically go through FPU self-paced online, but they can also sign up for a class if they so choose.
There are three options for this page to distribute membership:
- Send Individual Membership
- Send Batch Membership
- Unique Link
IMPORTANT: Inviting members to FPU from this page does NOT automatically enroll them in a class unless you toggle the switch to "Add them to a class" ON and then select the active class from the dropdown menu that you want the member/members added to.
See Creating a Class for more information on adding members directly to a class.
Send Individual Membership
The intent is to provide administrators the ability to individually add registrants (who have already said “yes” to wanting FPU) by email address. This typically looks like a church signing people up on a sign-up sheet at church.
If you want to add the member to a specific active class, toggle the switch to "Add them to a class" ON and then select the active class from the dropdown menu that you want the member/members added to.
IMPORTANT: Sending individual memberships redeems memberships automatically.
Send Batch Membership
The intent is to provide administrators the ability to upload a CSV file of their registrants (who have already said “yes” to wanting FPU). This typically looks like a church signing people up within their church management software (CHMS). They would then download a CSV of that registrant list from their CHMS and then upload it into the FPU Church Impact Dashboard.
If you want to add the list of members to a specific active class, toggle the switch to "Add them to a class" ON and then select the active class from the dropdown menu that you want the member/members added to.
IMPORTANT: Sending batch memberships redeems memberships automatically. It may take a few minutes for the system to finish processing the CSV file. Once the file is processed, the memberships will show as redeemed.
The administrator will receive email(s) communicating that:
- the emails were successfully added (and how many) or
- the emails that were unsuccessful due to an error (with a list of emails that weren’t successful) or
- the emails that were unsuccessful because there are no remaining memberships (with a list of emails that weren’t successful).
Unique Link
The intent is to provide administrators with the ability to copy a unique link and distribute the link to their congregation in a text, email, internal web page, etc.
Note: Sending the unique link does NOT redeem memberships automatically. Once a member clicks on the link and creates an account, the membership will show as redeemed. This option does not add members to a specific class session.
My People Tab
This tab is used by the administrator to review the memberships distributed by their organization and the activation status of each membership. This tab helps answers questions such as, “I know I have X memberships redeemed, but who is using the memberships?” and “When did I send a membership to John Doe?”
Memberships redeemed either ad-hoc or as part of a batch upload will display either as Activated (they have completed the full account activation process) or Not Activated (they have yet to complete the full account activation process).
Memberships redeemed via the unique link will only appear in the Membership Insights tab once they have completed the full account activation process (since that is the point at which memberships are redeemed), so these will only ever have an Activated status.
The administrator can also use the filter options (user email, activation status) in the right panel to narrow their search.
