It is important when going through the FPU class to make sure that you're checking in each week. This allows your coordinator to keep track of how the class is doing, and allows you to mark your attendance, and enter your financial snapshot information!
How do I check in?
You'll want to sign into your FPU account by going to fpu.com/member on your computer or phone browser to check-in. You will log in using the email and password associated with your Ramsey account.
Likewise, your coordinator may show a Check-In QR code to the class. The Check-In QR code will take you directly to fpu.com/member.
What's included in the check-in process?
If it's within a few days before/after class, you'll be asked to mark your attendance. In the 'My Financial Turnaround' section, you will enter your starting debt, savings, and credit cards. You can then update your debt paid, money saved, and credit cards cut as you make progress each week. You'll also see a history of your previous financial turnaround submissions should you need to edit or delete those.
When should I check in?
As a member of the FPU class, you should check in at least once a week so that your coordinator will always have an accurate class attendance, but you can do it as often as needed to track your financial progress.
Can I add my turnaround data even if I didn't attend class that week?
Absolutely! You can simply skip marking attendance and update your financial turnaround numbers.
Do my spouse and I each submit financial turnaround data?
No, but there is a good reason for that. We encourage spouses to use a single membership for FPU and budgeting purposes, promoting a unified journey toward financial success. In other words, we want you to both be on the same page about your finances!
By participating in the class together under a shared membership, you will be listed as a single "member" on the class roster. This helps avoid confusion about having separate memberships for the same household and helps you both feel more like a team!
Spouses sharing a membership will simply need to log into your shared membership by using the same login credentials (email address and password) to access all the online tools and resources.
Who sees my financial turnaround data?
Only you have access to your turnaround data. Your coordinator will see the total sum of all class members' numbers, but they will not be able to identify individual numbers.
